I have a very similar story with my kibbe journey. Thought I was a FN because of my shoulders and because I really didn't feel like my shape was very "dramatic" (I'm a very laid back, casual person). However, something didn't feel quite right. When discussing with some friends, they pointed out my curves and that my height (5' 10") is quite dramatic! Reviewing SD types, my body shape definitely lines up; however, as such a causal person I do not relate to many of the style recommendations. Just now embarking on my journey to try to piece together outfits that suite my taste while also respecting my lines, which is how I found your video. I'm looking forward to diving further into your videos-- thanks!

Definitely you are a SD. I’ve been struggling for the same reason!! Your video helped me a lot. It’s really hard to see ourselves, seeing you has just what I needed. Thank you ❤

SD really works to your advantage. Your hair is really pretty in this video, lenght and shine is great. More volume would be wow! I want to see your journey. Team without tiny belt! This skirt has enough waist definition on its own. Your waist is defined, not short, no tummy issues, so good fitting cloths do emphasize your waist already and enough to let the eyes wander smoothly. I especially like the tonal ensembles with darker trousers. Refined, confident and kind of well grounded strength.

The outfits looked great on you! I'm pretty sure you are a Soft Dramatic just from seeing how well the outfits worked for your figure. I'm also a Soft Dramatic and I feel the struggle of dressing an angular, tall, yet curvy body type. Watching videos like these help me appreciate the unique beauty of the Soft Dramatic and makes me feel more confident. Thank you for the video! ❤❤

You remind me of Adele, I think you're definitely a Soft Dramatic, that turtle neck outfit especially is soo good on you.

You are definitely a soft dramatic, as I am. We have similar bodies, except my hips are wider. But also, these style of outfits fit us similarly... and also you exude the SD essence in all of them.

The first outfit was enough for me to to agree to SD for you.

There is a particular way in which skirts fit us....and a length that looks majestic on us, but dowdy on others. Skirts are often a telltale indicator for SDs, imo.

I love the turtleneck and brown trousers look on you! I agree chunky earrings would be amazing, and I think it looks best on you without the belt because you already have waist emphasis in the outfit, so the belt would only brake up the long line. My story is similar to yours. I always thought I was a flamboyant natural at 5’ 8” but never felt quite right in the lines. I always found myself needing to emphasize my waist instinctually, and I needed my hair to be tidy. I also tend to “over dress” as I feel horrible in overly casual styles. It was a video from Ellie-Jean that got me rethinking things. What really clued me in was wearing a long black body hugging dress and feeling amazing while also getting lots of compliments. Also seeing two separate pictures of me in one flowy dress, in one it was belted at the waist and the other one I was wearing it loose. The loose one made me look absolutely terrible, frumpy and like I weighed at least 30 lbs more. This summer I started wearing body suits, instead of oversized tees, paired with high waist linen trousers and loved the look so much it was pretty much all I wore. I also started curling my hair ends under because I loved the more polished look, and I have always loved a half up hair style. It’s almost like if we would just listen to our feminine intuition instead of looking to the opinions of others, we already know what suits us.

I see more of a blunt and wide bone structure on you than narrow and sharp. But you definitely have the long verticle line to accommodate. Try flamboyant natural?

I would vote you are flamboyant natural! You have that broad beautiful natural smile and the natural jawline as well along with the open face and vibe of the naturals. Another reason I feel you are natural is I bet your hair looks amazing with some air and movement in it. There are curvy flamboyant naturals which is really confusing when curves are the first thing you think of with soft dramatics. Just a thought for you if the soft dramatic clothing, hair, and make up feel off after some experimenting! I believe Ally Art has a video on curvy flamboyant natural. Enjoy your journey!

I haven't had a chance to watch one of your videos for a while. I put this on on today and my very first thought was, wow, her make-up looks great. I don't know what you changed, but it really suits you. If this is soft-Dramatic, I think you must be one. Your hair, make-up and shirt are spot on.

I enjoyed watching you talk about your journey to finding your kibbe body type. You made a strong case for being a soft dramatic which shows you've researched a lot. I am a soft natural myself who does have to accommodate shoulders and I stand a bit shorter so this helped me with understanding via contrast. I watched your color analysis for autumns and the earth tones look great. The long dress was stunning with the long knit cardigan. Thanks for sharing!

I think these soft dramatic lines are beautiful for you! I’ve considered SD myself. I fit most of the romantic traits except I’m 5’6 (168) so just a tick above the height limit 😂 but I don’t have width and don’t shine in classic styles 🤷🏽‍♀️ I’ll be interested to see how you incorporate your natural classic clothing personality with SD!

I’m 1m75, hourglass and textbook soft dramatic, and we do look a lot like each other in term of body shape! Also the jewelry and makeup really suit you and nothing seems too much. I definitely think you are a soft dramatic, too! I think SD’s can definitely rock a top+trousers outfit, Sofia Vergara is a great example of how to do soft dramatic in a more casual way, or with trousers, and she demonstrates accessories really help. I would look into statement belts for your trousers, and also into the right type of bags to compliment your outfits.

I like the SD idea on you and understand why the FN could feel off. I have the same battle as you and also think I’m best in SD. One thing I’ve found that works for me do I don’t feel like I’m trying to go to prom ever day I’d to wear a lot of one color outfits with a crisp tailored shirt over. This helps me feel pulled together, strong and also professional for work.

I thought I was FN for a while until I tried on dresses that were loose around my waist and they did nothing for me. I look amazing with Monica Bellucci style dresses/D&G style etc. It’s definitely tricky when you are tall and have broad shoulders. I think the key difference is needing to cinch the waistline for the SD and accentuate the curves. Also SDs have a horrible time finding comfy casual outfits.

For me your face and your vibe rather an FN. You started to being more relaxed in the long FN cardigan and the looser pants.

Wow, you really did an amazing job with that visual info graphic hourglass references. It's such a simple example but one that REALLY works imho. I recently found a video of a stylist measuring around the shoulders, the bust, the waist and the low hips, I've never seen anyone incorporating the shoulders into the measurements. With the simple "bust - waist - hips" measurements taken, I always got told I was a lower heavy hourglass (for pear my upper back flares out too much, for an actual hourglass my bust lacks volume). Adding in the shoulder measurement changed a lot for me, because my shoulders actually are my very widest body part (and I do not work out at the moment, so no muscle has been built on my delts to widen that area). That completely changes the way the proportions are viewed. And that actually matches up way better with me being FN. I am very sure that I am one because these clothing lines are the ones that look best on me. When I thought I might be SN, I constantly felt weird in the recommended lines. And I had to wear padded bras to be able to fill in the blouses and dresses I found in the SN lines. For FN I can just throw something on and it will automatically fit and look good. So I would say, if one feels like they have to make a lot of alterations to kinda fit the clothes in the lines they think match their Kibbe ID, it might not be the right Kibbe ID. Give me a simple oversized shirt with a boat neck and a pair of flared jeans and I will look put together. Or the current trending oversized and super long trench coat shape with the dropped shoulder: Amazing for me. That's one trend I do appreciate because I finally found a trench coat I really love wearing.

And I do think you are right. You look better in more fitted clothes to an extent that would probably not work that well for a FN.

I am looking forward to your video on style roots, especially since it took me so long to actually figure mine out. (Just because I was in a transitional phase and kinda wasn't too sure what I really liked on myself.) Once I did figure it out, I felt it was easy to find a way to put all the elements together. The style roots really were like a missing link for me.
