The Rarest armor in Elden Ring, unique purple cape.

So rare you need to perform a glitch to wear it.
I like all three versions of beast champion set, really.

After a quick search on YT it looked like it was undocumented and since it's a noteworthy find there you go.

If you talk to Bernahl after killing Rykard he will say something about having inherited his brothers will. Maybe his brother was planned to be in the game and would have worn the purple version.

sad how neglected the alter garnaments feature is, really could've used more options, hell even recolored versions would've been good enough

Quick tip: If you have two of the Beast Champion torso armor, one Altered and one not, you can easily obtain the purple cape any time by unequipping your torso armor, equipping the cape-less Altered one, then swapping to the non-Altered one.

EDIT: As replies have pointed out, all methods of accessing the texture have now been patched out.

Ive literally noticed it was purple before and thought, "oh cool, purple cape, looks better this way" but never noticed it changed back to blue, in fact i only JUST NOW realized the cape was blue, i thought it was purple the whole time

Damn, I thought I was crazy…it happened to me once or twice, but I didn’t pay attention I guess. Neat, I hope they’ll add more customization options with the DLCs or in some future patches.

For those wondering, no this glitch doesn't work as of now, you cannot obtain the purple one now.

The decorative filligree on the purple cape makes it S tier for fashion souls.

I wish we had the option to Dye our armors, alteration is nice, but I'm hoping in any future patch/DLC we get the ability to change colors and all that

Oooooh, the purple version is gorgeous. I like how the color looks faded out more on the back. I wonder why they changed it to the blue, there's already a striking blue cape in game.

Yes I had this happen to me and I thought nothing of it until I examined the cape further, I looked at it closely and thought about how it looked to have less of a pattern on it, then I equipped it again and it was normal, really strange.
