Lian Li vs Fractal Design Cases

I have the black fractal with the tempered glass on the side and it is perfect. It's not the XL version but I would guess that the xl version is good too

Don't kill me for this, but I honestly don't like the fish tank cases. When the HYTE Y60 came out I loved it, but now I just feel like they're overused and ugly.

Fractal Design North XL is a full-tower case. It can support full-size E-ATX motherboard like the ASUS Sage

the north xl can have a tempered glass panel on the side and a mesh for a fan, we can even see it in the options seen on the picture

Shocked that you called their look outdated. Fishtanks are cool, but I don't see anything wrong with these.

The lancool iii has some really nice features, like hinged side glass panels, the side panels also conveniently pop open when you slightly pull forward the front corners of this case, and the under glass part of the case easily swivels down for easy access to 3 hard drive bays. The fractal has a less flashy look with less features, but is less likely to have something break because of less moving parts.

Recently moved my built into the regular size north with tempered glass and the walnut matches my desk perfectly. Killer combo.

I have no idea what's the deal with the fishtank cases, just feels like an accident waiting to happen (cracked glass), out of the three you mentioned the fractal looks the best imo, none of them at least have that stupid overgamerified design that just screems "I bought the most stupid looking case because it had colourful lights"

Also closed panel over glass any day (basically no good cases do this anymore so I just go with mesh ones like in the fractal one), this might be only because I have my pc under my desk like a normal person but I like it like that

Also one final "controversial" opinion, but white pc components are kinda meh, black ones definitely look better most of the time (maybe a white case but that's the max for me)

The North actually does have a tempered glass panel option. I’ve got the non-xl black North and I absolutely love it.

I got the fractal design torrent and it's an amazing case, I saw significant temp drops just because of the overkill airflow design with the two big 180mm fans at the front

I have the lian cool 3 and its a goated design. having 3 fans pointed directly at my 4090 helps maintain good temps.

I have a lancool 3. It was fun to build in. And ut seemed like they really had fun with a lot of different closing mechanisms.

I still buy cases with solid side panels I prefer that look over any clear panels
