S. Korea posts record-high exports growth in April

4월 수출 41.1% 증가...10년 만에 최대폭 상승
South Korea recorded the highest exports increase rate in about a decade last month, possibly signaling the economy recovering from the pandemic's impact.
Data released by Korea's trade ministry showed that exports jumped over 41 percent on-year in April, amounting to more than 51-billion U.S. dollars.
That's the highest since January, 2011.
The ministry attributed the rise to the exports recovering from the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Semiconductor exports alone jumped over 30 percent.
Exports also stayed strong for petrochemicals and biohealth products.
