Public adjusters can come in clutch.

They work on behalf of the policyholder (the person who owns the house and has insurance) to help them navigate through the process of filing an insurance claim.

In case of a house burning down, a public adjuster will assess all damages caused by fire, smoke or water damage from firefighting efforts. They'll also evaluate any personal property that was lost in the fire such as furniture or electronics.

The benefits of using a public adjuster are many:

1. Expertise: Public Adjusters have extensive knowledge about how insurance companies work and what they need to see in order for your claim to be approved.
2. Time-saving: Filing an insurance claim can be time-consuming and stressful especially when you're dealing with loss due to natural disasters like fires which require immediate attention - A Public Adjuster takes care of everything so you don't have to worry about it.
3. Better Settlements: Since Public Adjusters know exactly what information insurers need before approving claims, they can negotiate better settlements than if you were doing it alone.
4. Peace Of Mind: Knowing that there's someone working on your behalf gives peace-of-mind during this difficult time while ensuring maximum payout from your insurer

Overall, hiring a public adjuster after experiencing significant losses such as those resulting from home fires helps ensure fair compensation for damages incurred without having additional stress added onto already traumatic events

My best friend called me at work to say her house had a fire and the client I was with who worked for an insurance company said "tell her to get her own independent adjuster for the fire because the insurance companies low ball you. Also I would get fired if my employer knew I ever told anyone that"

Do not get a public adjuster. Get a roofing specialist(roofer, general contractor, or engineer(last resort)) to inspect your roof and forward the finding to your insurance company. A 2nd field inspection may be needed or the desk adjuster can supplement without sending the claim back out to the field if the additional documents you have submitted sufficiently supports your supplement request.

Or get a roofing contractor that can do all of that but without paying 10% and being your roofer 🙋🏼‍♂️
