What I love about how Kuro writes character quests is the fact that some are either still connected to the rover trying to regain his/her lost memories despite the emphasis being in the other character or they add to the world-building.

This is apparent in Changli's quest but also in Yinlin's. While Jiyan and Lingyang adds to the world-building.

It's a good balance. I hope they continue with this writing and improve upon it. I was surprised to not have felt detached to the quest since I expected it to have nothing to do with the rover or the general narrative which is a huge blunder on some games like this.

Also, the music. Goddamn.

It's a story about her past and you can just design a generic apparition of a small child but they didn't.

Changli's story is very well written, Showing her personality when she was a child (alone, Innocent, cursed, but still loves helping others) was so clever, it gives her adult characters another whole dimension, other than the "Yae Miko vibes" (manipulative, cold, deceitful, dangerous" woman)
waiting to see her full story and how she got her firepower, imagine a "Pheonix sentinel" of another Nation that was the one who gave her her power, and she is not from Jinzhou...damn.
