Good info, but the bit about the 4 week is now incorrect. They are amount the highest in rate, 5.27% or so.

As I hear more about "locking the rate with longer duration" before the FED starts cutting rates; however, I just don't understand if they mean 1) buying the "10-20 year Treasury notes" or 2) investing in the ETFs like TLT (so they can benefit from the price appreciation + TLT's 2.64% yield) ? No one seems to explain the difference/pros/cons, so I would appreciate your insight.

The biggest disadvantage of treasuries for me is their tax category. Interest is taxed drastically higher than qualified dividends or interest from munis.

If there's a 10 million cap per t bill how is he getting 2 billion a week out there? Also confused why he said every Monday when four and eight week t bills are every Tuesday

Do you recommend when buying in treasury direct to set up reinvestment or at maturity let go back to bank account and reinvesting in a new term?
Or how do you change reinvestment time?

people are worry berkshire hathaway is hoarding record breaking cash reserves

when little did they know those cash itself is generating $7 billion a year because of treasury bills so i rather have their cash on standby while it makes more profit than most public companies just by parking their cash alone

So if you did the highest yield there at 17 months you would make about 3-4% a year.

I ran the numbers, 5%bill - 3.4% inflation = 1.6% real return. On 100k over 1 year is the 5k div is taxed for me 24-28% so $1, 200 tax. $1, 600-1200 =$400 or .4% return!!!!

Unless you have billions of dollars, don't follow a billionaire investment strategy. They're trying to maintain wealth, not build it.
