DYNACO ST70 'Always somewhere'

Testing my Dynaco ST70 - using a Garrard 301 Hammertone with SME3012 hooked on a Cayin SC-6LS. i am thinking of connecting a Dynaco PAT 5 pre-amp next time and hear the difference of an SS and Tube mix.

Wow, Arnel! A very good rock set up. I mostly listen to heavy rock, punk music, underground metal... It's difficult to get a detailed (let's say audiophile) set up that sounds good with these styles of music.

I've found transmission line speakers work for my tastes.

Eh, sounds just like the speakers on my computer. Just kidding. Nice collection. Love valve equipment and it's hard to beat modded Dynaco gear dollar for dollar. I have Audio Research, Harmon Kardon, Dynaco, Fisher, and Heathkit tube gear myself.

I built the VTA 70 which is based on the Dynakit ST 70 with improvements made and it's as musical as anything I've owned. It's on par with my Mc 240..I preamp it with a restored Citation 1. I never had the pleasure of hearing a real Dyna ST 70 live, but from what I understand their "iron" (OPT) are awesome.
