This video describes about the beautiful property of fluid, Surface Tension and how surface property is different from bulk property. Some general examples have been explained in detail for the best understanding of audience. This video also explains the WHY of surface tension. Here you will find the HOW of relation between surface energy and surface tension. In this lecture we have also covered the WHAT amount of excessive pressure we find inside a liquid drop, soap bubble and water jet. In this lecture the contact angle, cappilary action (cappilary rise and fall) and the liquid fountain have been explained in detail keeping in mind the importance of this concept in exams and particularly in interviews such as ISRO, BARC, DRDO, BEL, BHEL and other PSUs. The mathematical proof though not as important for exam point of view, however the proofs are highly important in interview perspective.
