These independent pieces of footage show the lady crossed at THE most well lit part of the road and, assuming a speed of 40mph for the car, the driver/systems had a MINIMUM of 80 meters to react.
With regards to the action of the lady, I can only assume she thought that there was no way she had not been seen given how brightly lit the area is. Hence why she made to effort to look.
