Nice! I'll get nerdy here for a second, cause I think it's important to clarify some confusion about ECOPAK. ECOPAK is a conglomerate of several different types of fabrics. So to break it down a little more, since it's not really fair to say ECOPAK is like dyneema. There's sub categories of fabrics under ECOPAK, like EPX fabrics that are most closely compared to XPac. Then there's EPL Ultra which is what is being compared to dyneema. The two fabrics (EPX and EPL Ultra) are very different. EPX fabrics are 100% recycled polyester, and EPL Ultra is not 100% recycled, but contains recycled components.
The fabrics are amazing, and working with them every day at work is fun cause they perform incredibly well. I see a lot of confusion out there right now of people not understanding the differences in the various sub categories.

I know in addition to the cost I know dyneema is not very abrasion resistant. Would be curious to know how these new materials hold up to abrasion.

Environment is good and all but everyone has to stop driving their F-150s and save gas, etc

Dyneema is still the best material for gear specifically DCF hybrids. I don’t see that changing any time soon…

What are performance advantages? Mice/rodents still penetrate dcf; what solves the mice problem? Ultra is said to have more Dyneema fibers, but is way too heavy (for a food-bag, for example)? Xpack won't stop any critter; why should we care about Ecopak? Frankly, "recycled" is a negative. Why not call it "used" or "dumpster" material? Smell never leaves dumpster-materials, why think "recycled" is a selling point? Who wants smelly old, already worn-out materials?
