Great word. We should be in the word during the peaceful moments, so when we are in hard times the word comes out and gives us that peace.

Christian rejection is especially difficult. It's not a "Oh I was not listening to God, praying or reading scripture. I ignored all that and wanted to do my own thing. I became attracted to girls that I knew deep down were not right for me. They had a lot of red flags about them you could spot from a mile away and yet I ignored those red flags and was foolish enough to fall for that. Thank God I didn't get with any of those girls. Those kind of rejections are pretty easy to get over, cause you know those snakes were not good for you at all.

But its really hard when you like another person from church that is also a christian, has all of the qualities you want in a person, great personality, attractive and you still get rejected. This is a type of rejection I've been dealing with right now for a few months.

It's hard to see how its protection, especially when your trying to cut out wordly stuff (partying, drugs, hookups) and you pray, listen to christian music, read the Bible and you see no red flags or bad stuff about the other person.

I guess all we can do is trust God. He knows the other person's heart and mind. He knows the things that we don't. Red flags that they try to hide. Many people put on a false face at church on sundays but live completely opposite lifestyles than what Jesus would want. It's hard to tell the difference.

Very well put Mark! From my time serving time in the military in combat operations. You should always be more alert when nothing is going on. We have a term "Complacency Kills". I almost destroyed my entire life with alcohol and weed and I feel Satan is tempting me to do these again. I feel stressed out and I hear “it’s ok just one bottle of wine you can control it etc” but I know better. I lost my job, received felony charges, destroyed my credit, lost a lot of $ and my car. God allowed me (I worked hard and wasn’t lazy) to get almost all back so far and most importantly me and my adult children have a very decent relationship again. I will keep on the right track but could use some extra prayers. Love to all we have to fight Satan together.
