Revelation 1:8 talks about the almighty. Who is that exactly? Trinity supporters use this verse often. Watch as Nader Mansour explains it from the context. It has nothing to do with the Trinity.

If you look at Rev 1:4, 5 it shows Jesus is differentiated from "the one which was, which is, and which is to come."

Jesus was speaking about the same LORD when he answered the scribes.

Mark 12:28-32 ...'And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all? And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. ... And the scribe said unto him, well, Master, thou hast said the truth: for there is one God; and there is none other but HE.

Minute 0.47 We do not need more than one almighty being, one is plenty. No body has ever asked or wanted or needed more than One almighty being. This being ´tho is 3 different persons.

The messenger to the remnant clearly identified the personage in Revelation 1:8 as the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God: "What a Saviour we have! It was he that revealed himself to John on the Isle of Patmos, and proclaimed, "I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty." None but just such an ever-living, mighty God, could pay the ransom to save sinners from going down into the pit of death." RH-Feb 18, 1896.

Wow, we were studying this over zoom with our group yesterday, Sabbath, and I was puzzled. I asked the Lord to clear it up for me. Thank you Father!

REVELATION 1:1✖

The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified [it] by his angel unto his servant John.

A revelation of Jesus which God gave to him.
HOW CAN YOU GET TRINITY FROM THIS ?

You are really twisting things on this one Nader.
The verse makes much more sense, with the second part being John's inspired writing, especially since it is Christ who "is to come", not the Father.

Where does scripture ever say that the Father is to come ?
Al throughout the Bible, it is the Messiah who is spoken of as the one who is to come to earth.
That is what Maranatha means.
BTW, that verse does not support a Trinity of persons, but Christ, as the One Person, who is God.

*DOES JESUS REALLY SPEAK IN REVELATION 1:8?*
Supposedly, according to Bible commentators, the following verse should be ascribed to Jesus Christ:
“I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.” Revelation 1:8

Although the text does not expressly say that it is Jesus who speaks, almost all scholars and commentators ASSUME that it is so, when it might well be God the Father. With all due respect and consideration for those biblical authorities, let us see on which side the scales really tip.
1) The expression Almighty, which refers to the one true God, occurs 27 times throughout the Bible:

 17 times in the Old Testament: Genesis 17:1; Ruth 1:20-21; Job 5:17, 6:4, 8:3, 5, 11:7, 13:3, 15:25, 21:15, 21:20, 22:25, 24:1, 37:23; Isaiah 13:6; Joel 1:15.
 10 times in the New Testament: 2 Corinthians 6:18; Revelation 1:8, 4:8, 11:17, 15:3, 16:14, 19:6, 19:15, 21:22
And in all quotations it refers to God the Father ... except in Revelation 1:8, according to men’s wisdom.
2) The person of Jesus Christ is introduced from verse 11 of the first chapter of Revelation.

3) In 1:4 God the Father is mentioned because His throne is pointed, while the throne of the Lamb, that is, the throne of the Son, is mentioned much later in the book. It is said of Him that "He is, and that He was, and that He is to come". The Father will also come in the end to dwell with us (Revelation 22:3-4). That is the kingdom of the Lord's Prayer, "Thy kingdom come. . .”

4) Verse 4:8 confirms the above:

“And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, LORD GOD ALMIGHTY, which was, and is, and is to come.”

5) The qualifier ALMIGHTY obviously implies that only one being or person can be such a person, not two, much less three.

CONCLUSION: Revelation 1:8 refers to God the Father, not to Jesus Christ.

1. We don't even know what we need, we think what we want is what we need.
2. Verse 8 is not Jesus speaking.
3. Verse 8 is not even speaking.of Jesus, it is speaking of God the Father.
4. One who is born of God can discern of thie poor man speaking in this video that he is not born of God and so does not know God. Not because of what he is saying but more from his spirit. Biut ike all who are deceived, he thinks he is rich and has sight, though he be poor and blind.
5. The Bible is the only book in all the earth that man not only needed be inspired by God the Holy Spirit to write it but man also needs to be inspired by God the Holy Spirit to read it. Something this man has no idea about when he is trying to make sense of it with his own mind and/or the mind of the false teaching he has received.

*Jesus is God Almighty*

All judgement is given to the Son. Literally *"all Judgement!"*

This is a crucial point to understand, remember this point!

John 5:22
For *"the Father judgeth no man, "* but hath committed *"all judgment unto the Son:"*

*WRATH IS JUDGEMENT!"*

Rev 6:16-17
16 And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and *"from the wrath of the Lamb:"*

17 *"For the great day of his wrath is come;"* and who shall be able to stand?

The above is Jesus wrath, it is the wrath of the Lamb! He has *"all Judgement!"*

Let us see what Revelation 16:14-15 state about Jesus Judgement?

Rev 16:14-15
14 For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to *"the battle of that great day of God Almighty."*

*"THE GREAT DAY OF GOD ALMIGHTY IS JESUS WRATH, HIS JUDGEMENT. HE IS GOD ALMIGHTY!"*

15 Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.

Verse 15 clearly reveals that Jesus is in verse 14. Jesus comes as a thief.
