I don’t like the fact that tanjiro beats himself up for being weaker in comparison to his father and yoruichi they had years to train and were full grown men, let alone tanjiro is just a teenager. So yea he’s not as talented as yoruichi but for his age he sure as hell is strong. So I wished he would focus more on his strengths rather than his weaknesses but in the end everything still worked out, gotta love demon slayer regardless 💯

I post this when i can but i still think sumiyoshi was one of the abandoned children of upper moon 1. It would explain the body type and that matching demon slayer marks between upper moon 1, yurrichi, and tanjiro despite upper moon 1 never using sun breathing. We see that demon slayers get different demon slaying marks. We assumed it's based on breath style but i believe it's based on body type. The body type you get defines your breathing style and the mark you'll get if you awaken it. Just ties up a plot thread to me because the marks don't make sense otherwise. And before anyone says it. I know what sumiyoshi said that yurrichi was a family friend, but if he was abandoned as kid and never saw his dad or uncle for years, then he wouldn't see them as any different than a stranger

Tanjiru's Dad died because he too manifested the mark since being able to perform the Sun Dance requires you to be at the level greater than that of a regular Hashira.

I definitely feel like the mangaka wanted there to be a more direct link from Yoriichi to Tanjiro but just didn't have the time to establish it. I'd honestly feel like it would be cooler if Yoriichi was Tanjiro's great great great grandfather than just the guy who showed his great grandad some sword moves, even if it would be more cliche.
