If my phone is on silent mode and there's no other way to find it, I'd dial my number, tell everyone in the house to shut up and stop whatever they are doing then walk around the house silently like a burglar and listen for any sound of vibration or feel the furnitures if they're vibrating. It worked one time.

Most times when I think I've lost my phone, it's in my hand :/

In my house it goes like this...

Me - Quietly, inconspicuously searching for my phone, hoping my Type A husband doesn't notice me.
Husband - "What are you doing?"
Me - "Nothing..."
Husband - "You lost your phone again didn't you? You've got to keep track of your things. That phone is too expensive to replace every two months. Here, I'll call it."
Me - "I know, I know! Okay, call."
Husband - Starts dialing.
Me - "Uhh. Wait, sorry, it's on silent."
Husband - "Why is your phone always on silent? How are you ever supposed to hear anyone calling you? How can I get a hold of you in an emergency? We need a land line! Your phone is probably gone forever, there's five hundred dollars down the drain."
Me - "I'll just log into my Google account and find it that way."
Husband - "You can do that?"

And then my phone is found, like it always is. And I await the next time I'll set it down when I'm distracted and we can repeat the whole scenario. God I can't wait for implanted tech.

2. My pocket
3. Under the bed
