This arguement essentially as follows. Well there are an infinite amount of numbers 5, 6, 144, 80, who is to say 2 + 2 = 4. How can anyone tell. There simply is no answer.

Every society ever has believed in the spiritual. That doesn't mean that every interpretation is wrong. If anything it proves that someone has to be right. The answer isn't there is no answer.

I get what he’s trying to say but it’s a poor argument for a few different reasons, namely, it ignores the definition of atheism. I can’t be “atheist” toward certain gods lol. Atheist by definition believes in no higher power, i.e. god or gods. And yes mathematically it’s 1 less, but philosophically there is a huge difference between believing in no gods vs 1 god and I think this person knows that.

Thousands of times have i heard that argument. It makes no sense. It is like as if i said that over 99% of the time that the human civilization exist, people all over the world believed in some God. Now what is the probability that you have eaten all of the wisdom and started to understand that everybody except for you is wrong? If you don't know anything about religion, keep your thoughts for yourself. I for example can say with certainty that i am not an atheist of all or most god's, in fact, i think that all of them exist in a Jungian, idealistic or hermetic way.

Um, actually the bible is not supposed to be written by any deity, seeing as it describes G-d being defeated by a foe.
However, true religion is agriculture, and atheism is part of human development.

this is such a bad argument. just because many things are wrong doesn't mean one thing can't be right. in a criminal investigation there could be many suspects even many likely or similar suspects but that doesn't mean there isn't one actual criminal or that you wouldn't be able to figure out who they are. So too with God. also the other gods he mentions are ontologically different than the one God of monotheistic religions.
