I like how Alissa and Nick left their mark on War Eternal without changing the core sound of Arch Enemy. That's some perfect melding with a new band.

I just can't express how awesome this song is. The riffs and music... so heavy and delivered with such clarity. And the lyrics and vocals are savage.

True story. This is the original vocal take she did when she came to Halmstad the first time. This is kind of Alissa’s ”try out for the band”. We sat in the studio and just tried to keep calm. It wasn’t easy. THIS is how you deliver when you want to be in a band.
The ”demo” was just so good that it ended up on the album. Bloody incredible. As far as I remember we only changed one line. Or half a line actually. Alissa=pro.

Great and amazing song. One of my favorite songs. Great musicians and a great singer. The beautiful guitars melodies and a great growling vocal. Arch Enemy is one of the best metal bands today. I very like it :-).

The addition of the Jeff Loomis solo fills really changes the texture of the song from the version on the album and absolutely for the better. Loomis is my favorite guitarist and his style is so distinctive. There was no one who wrote metal songs with such unusual and clever riffs as JL for Nevermore and his solo playing is as good as it gets. What a compliment to Michael Amott with such contrasting styles. I can't wait to hear what he and MA come up with for the next record. I expect some groundbreaking changes for Arch Enemy.
