Kristi Noem relaunches office for victims of migrant crime

Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem announces the relaunch of the Victims of Immigration Crime Engagement (VOICE) office. Noem was joined by families of victims of crimes committed by migrants.

"I'll be forever changed by the stories these families told, the details they told me," Noem said. "But also the advice and wisdom."

VOICE was created by President Donald Trump during his first term and was ended by the Biden administration in 2021.

"Now we have consequences for people who break the law," Noem said. "Now there is enforcement of our laws. People know that it matters when you do right and there are going to be severe consequences when you do wrong."
