The word "cracker" is now associated with subjugating an entire segment of the population - the segment being Twitch streamers.

Every time I pass a Cracker Barrel or walk down a dry goods isle at a grocery stores, I'm constantly reminded of my white oppression.

I think everyone is missing the point. I believe the slur "Cracker" is not originally a reference of the color of a persons skin. It is referring to the the cracking of the whip from the slave owner, who happened to be white in this circumstance.

"Nerd" used to be a pejoritive. Now it is a badge of honor.

If you say the "C-Word", people will think of the misogynistic four-lettered word.
If you say the "C-Slur", people will think of an Anti-Asian Slur.
The word "Cracker" is not even on the radar.

A word can't be both a slur and an entire category of food.

Cracker is more of rural southern term in my experience? More often, in LA, I get called "Wood" (short for Peckerwood, a jailhouse term for white boys and affiliates) but rarely as a pejorative, and used contextually more like the way black dudes use the n-word, as a pronoun in otherwise banal daily urban interaction. Doesn't bother me.

If they're banning slurs, then why not ban all slurs based on immutable characteristics

The argument that cracker isn't as bad as other slurs so it is OK is fallacious. If someone steals should we do nothing because it isn't murder? Just because one slur is worse than another, isn't justification for usage of the lesser of the two. If racism is wrong, it's wrong no matter who it's targeted at and you guys should do better about promoting that viewpoint.
