FTB University EP1 Punching Trees

TB University is a 1.12.2 modpack, designed as a sort of sequel to FTB Academy. While Academy aims to teach players who have never played with mods how to think like a modpack player, FTB University is supposed to teach the intricacies of mods, including much more in-depth tutorials for the more complex parts.

FTB University has over 1,200 quests, spread over 28 chapters, containing over 70,000 words and 6,000 lines of text. Each of the major mods have their own chapter, split into groups based on their category (Automation, Technology, and Magic).

University has almost no altered progression; it is not an expert pack. However, certain recipes are gated behind quests (Gendustry behind the Alveary, for instance). We also have Avaritia, as well as recipes for creative items.

We're also missing certain widely-used mods, like the Thermal suite, as well as Tinkers' Construct. This is to encourage you to use tools and machines from other mods that you otherwise wouldn't.

Just wanted to let you know that one of the free rewards on the first quest tab is a medium prefab house. They are somewhat bigger, with more storage room and expandable space for machines and stuff, specially the acacia one. Do check them out!

One of those chests in your starter house is packed with food...Also Mahou is its own questline.

late reminder but it's left mouse on a clear space to change akashtic tome from chosen book back to akashtic tome. and prefab moderate houses in 1.12 have a mineshaft all the way to y 11 as well, they're bigger with more storage and such, though, so i prefer them. some of the moderate houses in prefab 1.16 don't have the mineshaft but have other bonus features, like a stable or something in exchange for the mineshaft.

also, because i have a gaming mouse, i set veinminer/ore excavator/ultimine to button 5 on my mouse so i just hold it with my thumb on my mouse hand and it's so much easier than the grave key. just a suggestion if you happen to have a gaming mouse with multiple buttons.

There is great mob/farming mod in the misc section where you can get creative flight and infinite iron pretty early on

It's reaally late, but that weird questline, Mahou tsukai ([ma • hoe tsu • kai ] kinda) is the Japanese for "Wizard" or "Magic User"
