😮🙏 OMG! Are those miniature racing cars from TAMIYA?! That brought back many school memories of the 1990s in shop alleys & under HDB void decks of Singapore back then ... Saw many Singaporean school kids played with their upgradable TAMIYA racers in their special assembled racing tracks with their Special Toolboxes! Missed those 1990s & 2000s Singapore! That boring line has been perpetuated by jealous neighbouring countries and a particular competing East Asian territory. I've visited Singapore several times and always found it interesting bevause it keeps reinventing itself and as such there's always something new to see or do there. My only peeve...the heat and humidity. Lol.

its not boring if you are wealthy here unlike most of us including me which are average joes having to scrap and claw just to put food daily on our table.

Singapore is the only country putting up more statues of their european coloniser right now when everyone else, including britain, is toppling theirs.

People who think singapore is boring are those who prefer to not acknowledge what makes singapore and singaporean culture unique because they are insecure about weak or embarrassing points of time in their own country's history.

Every foreigner knows about the raffles statues and many of the other stuff we named after him, and they definately understand how much it makes singapore different and successful in some ways... but they simply chose to ignore it because of how they feel about their own sad history, whether it is being mistreated by colonisers or being blamed for their ancestors being those colonisers. For the most part, acknowledging our unique history makes them feel like the child their parents disliked more than their other siblings so they simply ignore it and say singapore is boring.
