Helene strengthens to a Category 1 hurricane

Florida residents are making final preparations ahead of Hurricane Helene's arrival. Helene is expected to make landfall near Tallahassee as a strong Category 3 storm. NBC News' Marissa Parra reports on the evacuations underway and Bill Karins reports on the storm's latest path.

Florida isn’t for me. We went there late September and early October in 2022, we didn’t like it. It is too hot, and there are too many tolls.
