During WW1 and WW2 America's celebrities such as sports figures, actors and musicians joined the war effort supporting the troops overseas and most even enlisted in the military to serve in whatever capacity they could. During the Korean War, a few celebrities still served especially athletes although there was not the enthusiasm for the support as in prior conflicts. But Vietnam was completely different. Many celebrities actually condemned the military fighting the war as well as the government and presidents in office. But one actress took it to another level and she should have been tried for treason according to some. Who is Jane Fonda? Written and Hosted by Colin D. Heaton. Forgotten History is a 10th Legion Pictures Production.

You can feel how you want about any war or conflict, but the second you put the soldiers of your own country at greater risk of harm by siding with the other side, you’ve embraced evil. Those soldiers had no real choice in the matter. They didn’t want to be there, they didn’t want to kill other people (obviously there are outliers who were going to do horrible things) and telling them that they should give themselves over to become POWs is the kind of thinking you wouldn’t even expect from the most ideologically regressive people around, but there she is and even today, we have people who would side with even the more horrible people alive if the winds told them to.

Jane Fonda called my father a "baby killer". She already had 3 abortions by that point.

Traitor, treasonous acts whatever they may be or not, Fonda will never escape or shake her moniker HANOI JANE. She has earned and deserves it. She will always be HANOI JANE.

As a Vietnam War Veteran who served 1967 -1968. Jane Fonda should have been tried for Treason and for giving aid and moral support to the enemy, period. Protesting a war is not treason. Calling American Service Personnel especially those prisoners of war, Criminals, liars, Baby Killers, War Mongers should be considered treasonable actions and be prosecuted unless you are rich and famous like "Hanoi Jane".

I was in another country in Afrika at the time of Hanoi Jane I thought the Americans had gone insane to allow a known traitor to come back to the United states and not be charged.

First time I ever heard my Dad say the word "bitch" was in 1972, and he was referring to Jane Fonda.

I had the honor to work with one of the POW pilots shot down and captured in Vietnam. He was in that horrific place for 7.5 years. I was his first officer in the airline we worked for. He would describe the brutal torture he endured at the hands of the guards at the Hanoi Hilton, and how that traitor, Jane Fonda, caused him and his fellow prisoners so much more torture both before her visit and after. She should be locked up for the rest of her life for what she did to those men and this nation.

What's worse than a "useful idiot?" A traitor during wartime.

Born in '54, drafted in '72, served from '73-76 in the US army. I still think of her today as Hanoi Jane and refuse to patronize any product involving her.

As the widow of a Vietnam veteran, I believe she should have been arrested and tried as soon as she returned to the states. She didn't deserve special treatment.

As a Veteran... I see it as my duty to not let this be Forgotten History. My granddaughter just asked me to watch a movie with Fonda in it. Poor little girl had to sit through an hour long speech on why we don’t support traitors. FJF and FJB

I'm not a Vietnam Vet, but I've NEVER forgotten the treasonous actions of Hanoi Jane, and her arrogance when called out. Her father Henry Fonda refused anything to do with her for a long time because of this.

My father served in WWII, Korean War, and Vietnam. He went to his grave hating and calling her a traitor. My father never lied.

It's perfectly acceptable to be against it's another thing entirely to be a traitor to your country

I was a kid when she pulled that bull$#!+. I thought then as I do now she should have been charged for treason.
