In this episode Jay’s wife has another project for him! Jay takes some free material that he gets from Jamies and decides to do a makeover on his shed. With some leftover LP lap siding, some new doors, some fresh paint, a little bit of cleanup and I think the shed looks as good as new!

omg... pallet garden tool holder has to be the best thing I've seen on DIY channel EVER!!! mostly because I'm getting ready to start a "clean the shitty shed" project and was wondering the best way to store all my shovels, etc... timing is everything :)

The pallet storage is awesome, the shed looks great. One suggestion, paint all sides of the doors, top and bottom. Anything exposed will absorb moisture, causing the glued seams of the doors to expand. Preferably oil paint.

I would have put a double keyed deadbolt on the left door for your latching and locking needs

A retaining wall (Log) by your shed . You had wood planks under that cover . That couldve made beautiful siding .

I built my ramp to my shed using the tree also. I ran my boards horizontal with the space between. I had noticed that the previous ramp I would slide on when it was wet or there was snow. Now with them running horizontal with the space between it allows water to drain and the gaps between help create a good grip so i don't slide.

A spray can of paint primer/undercoat is handy to coat the bottom edge of doors before screwing to hinges.

When I built my shed, I framed my door out based on the widest thing I would take through that door, and then I added 8" to that. Framed the shed out of 2x4's but the door opening and door out of 2x6's. Threw 4 hinges on the door so it would still swing open easy. Like my door way better for a shed then anything I could buy. snow blower goes in easy, quadbike, etc..
