He's not burning the bees. Smoke makes them docile. He's not taking the hive for honey, that's why he discards the honey stores. He's capturing the part of the nest with the queen and brood. He's capturing this hive, not stealing their honey.

Of course, the next step is to redundantly steal their honey 😂

Reminds Me of those people that scale huge Caves to gets these special little Birds nests, cuz they make them into SOUP. The Soup is really expensive too. But, the Bird goes out for the Day & comes back to its ENTIRE HOUSE being GONE! Plus, it takes those little Birds forever to build one. Just like these Bees, are going to be like "WHERE TF is OUR HOUSE??" 😢
