WiP It Wednesday for Wednesday May 10, 2023.

What's a WiP? A WiP is short for Works In Progress.

WiP it Wednesday is where I show the craft projects I've worked on this past week. I go into detail and discuss patterns, needles, and yarn. I discuss what I like and don't like about each of my projects.

I currently go live twice a month on the first and third Saturday at 11:00 am mountain time. I live in Arizona where there is no daylight savings time.

I think that your inspiration for turning your crumb block scrappy fabric curtain (or whatever final name it gets) into fabric post cards is a wonderful way to commemorate and share the the joy and beauty this curtain has brought to us. While I was watching this, I was thinking that sections that were slightly too big for a fabric post card might make good mug rugs. I am glad that you will be keeping favorite sections for yourself. I also liked the suggestion from another about a pillow for yourself was wonderful.

I also have visible emotions sometimes sneak up on me when I talk aloud about something very important to me that I will miss. I now think that this might be part of our mind that doesn't have words paying honor or tribute to that special loss. Saying the words to others also makes it more real. ❤

Bless your heart Robin, I understand you, life is hard sometimes believe me I know. I do love the sailboat and light house one so so much. Wish I had the pattern I think that what you call it. The popsicle one is so cute to. YouDid a great job on both of them. Love your colors. Hang in there and just take one day at a time.

I love your fabric postcards, and hope to get to make a few if we ever get all done and settled. I have a sewing machine down stairs I can sew on, but all my stuff is so spread out still. That is a great idea to make post cards from your curtain...LOVED the lighthouse, and the popsicles are so cute.

Thank you Robin. I do love your fabric post cards but I adore your curtain and I must admit I hate the thoughts of it being cut up 😢 I know you will enjoy making new ones when you move though. Maybe wait until you get there just incase there is a perfect spot for your beautiful curtain. 💕

I had to write and tell you how much I love your curtain. It’s my favorite curtain in my whole life and I’ve heard it mentioned in other peole’s channels so I know I’m not alone in that. When I first discovered you (thru Kate at last Homely House) I watched a lot of your old videos and I especially loved your crumb series and the adding machine tapes so it’s not surprising I loved your curtain. I seem to remember Kate commenting on it as well. It’s going to break my heart if you cut it up. Why don’t you just put it away when you move to the kids’ house and save it to see how you feel in Arizona? You’ll need a curtain to protect you from that savage Arizona sun!

Robin, do make sure u keep some postcards for yourself. Good idea. Why don't u guys look for a house that has either a mother's apt or a guest house instead of having to be in a room with no window? You're a typical Mom, always putting kids first. It's hard not to, I know. Still doing it, it never stops. But having yr own space would be better cuz if u get an urge to do something u won't be disturbing anyone else if they are sleeping. Happy hunting. Thanks for all yr inspiration. Luv the popsicles. So cute! Have to try to make one or two.🥴🥰👍 Luv ya.😺🐈👵🧸

Hi, Robin, I feel for you as you prepare to leave your home of 21 years. I know you will handle it, but it’s a big step…a big stressor. 🙏🏻❤️

Those popsicles look quite realistic. My favourite ice on a stick is a white Magnum - white ice-cream inside and white choc on the outside! I bought a tub of Devon ice-cream yesterday (1st this year) now the weather is warming - it's made with Devon cream milk - those Devon cows 🐄 eat the best grass haha! 🐮Love your lighthouse scene - that water 🌊is great fabric. and you need a flag to show which way the wind is blowing 🏴‍☠
I understand why you want to make your curtain into postcards - I had in my mind it would have made a great 50K give-away prize. Hope you feel ok when it comes to the 1st cut - as the song goes "The 1st cut is the deepest" - now I'll have that going round my head grrr haha. Take care - things will work out ok in the end
