Looks like a roll cloud. Usually happens when a cold and hot front meet I believe... or something like that lol. Seen one at Kiama at Wollongong. They are beautiful.

Yes, roll clouds, I've seen them before, they are interesting. Weather conditions, combination of moisture/cold/warm air causes the wind to "roll' the clouds. I live in Texas, we get a lot of crazy weather. I love to watch cloud formations. Also had to replace a couple of roofs due to tornadoes 🌪...though I count myself lucky the damage wasn't worse.

We call them shelf clouds here, it’s the front of the storm, usually a very bad storm
