The guy KNEW he was drunk, he KNEW he hit someone, he took absolutely no responsibility, he deceived the police, he victim blamed. 10yrs was way way way too short!!!

10 years for killing someone? Ridiculous!

I couldn't believe how he spoke about having to support his children as an excuse to circumvent going to jail. Then, when the prosecutor brought up the point of the victim's children, the defendant quickly interrupts and says he was told the victim didn't have kids. What difference does that make? You KILLED someone. Thats ALL that matters!! GAWD

That monster creates fake tears and tris to play the victim, makes me sick.

I know his lawyer was cringing at around 6:45 when his client stated that the detective blamed the victim. The client is a moron, did not understand those are the kinds of things they say to make you confess. Brilliant!

Judge Boyd's face showed that he was wasting her precious time listening to him.

He should have gotten life in prison instead of 10 years

I knew Judge Boyd wouldn't fall for his bull shi#. Everything that came out of his mouth is a lie. The fact that this guy was victim blaming and then to not be bothered to check up on the victim daily to see how he was doing shows total lack of remorse. All he cares about is himself. He should have recieved more than 10 years.

His recount of events make him sound so cold and soulless. I don't think it did him any favours.

Judge Boyd was almost offended for being asked to keep jurisdiction. There's no way she's gonna let him out early after killing a person and his lack of remorse.

A cap of 10 years, sentenced to 10 years yet unfortunately will most likely get parole after only 5 years while someone lost their life to another drunk driver. Ugh 😡
I couldn't believe that his attorney had the audacity to ask the judge to keep jurisdiction so that he has a chance to get out of prison after 6 months. I was extremely glad she gave him a hard NO!

He was drunk and still is lying and evading responsibility for killing someone. He would have covered his tracks like a coward for 30 years if they had not caught him.

I was stationary in my vehicle and the tree was moving at 60 miles an hour.
