Glad you found Derek. He’s been THE best in the business for a long long time. He grew up hanging around with world class musicians and was playing the Layla solo on stage at like 12 yrs old. IMO, he’s the best living guitar player and there is NO guitar player in history that’s better than him. “The best ever” is a tier, and Derek is on that tier.

I'm a huge fan of Tedeschi Trucks. Two other guitarists were playing on this song, Trey Anastasia from Phish & Doyle Bramhall II from Austin. Doyle was in the Arc Angels w/ Double Trouble, he's had a solo career, played w/ Roger Waters on tour & has been Clapton's touring guitarist. His dad was a drummer & songwriter w/ SRV.

Derek Trucks was named after Claptons Album. Susan was born on the day the album Derek & the Domino's was released....THE UNIVERSE BROUGHT THESE TWO TOGETHER this is not coincidence

I worked at a recording studio in West Hollywood and was a stage manager so have heard many great bands . This band has been on my list of must see bands I hope to see them soon.

This is from a Lockn' Festival appearance and was unannounced that they were covering the Layla album song for song with special guests Trey Anastasio and Doyle Bramhall II. Derek liked the soundboard recording so much he released it. Go get yourself a copy, I have the vinyl version, and it does sound great.

Have seen Tedeschi Trucks twice in concert - Trucks is an amazing guitar player (a prodigy who played with the Allman Brothers as a child) and Tedeschi is the best blues singer touring right now (she is just incredible live). Love them and the always pack the house!
