Karin Salling visits Fødevarebanken

Denmark is among the leaders for food waste reduction in the world, not least due to strong food waste NGOs, strategic focus from retailers and increasing awareness among consumers. While we aim to halve our food waste across the Group by 2030, our owner - the Salling Foundations – has supported the fight against food waste through donations to the NGOs. A few days ago, foundation vice chairman Karin Salling visited one of the recipients Fødevarebanken, who make a great effort to collect fresh quality surplus food from our stores and warehouses and distribute it, in this case to drop-in centres for abused women and social vulnerable people.
