Hopefully i can speak for most when I say this movie had no business being THAT GOOD

Dude this film is crazy good, manages to create a shockingly mature tale, wastes no time and touches all of Puss’s inner and outer conflicts really well, the wolf is honestly terrifying and amazingly portrayed. Phenomenal film.

I think Lobo is the best rendition of THAT character I've seen in any media. It really was amazing

Probably the best animated movie I've seen in the last 5 years

The wolf was my favorite part; such a scary villain and I loved his darth maul-esque dual sickle staff

I really love how the main villain is death, not a personification, just death. He arrives because Puss doesn't value his lives, got him scared on his last one but only when he was fighting for his life he acknowledge Puss' dedication to living he stops and delays the inevitable, the movie hits so hard.

To learning after the movie that Antonio Banderas survived a heart attack because of quick thinking of his girlfriend at the time in 2017 really added to the reality of his performance. The scene of him having a panic attack and the rapid breathing felt a lot more intense and critical than I would have thought. The whole theme of the movie too was his focus after surviving Antonio said was the things that matter most being with his friends and family. Definitely a surprise favorite for me too.

The scene with Puss and Perro in the forest was legitimately one of the best scenes about a panic attack I’ve ever seen in a film. It’s so well-paced and genuinely tense. And then you get that emotional release. That release where you feel relieved but also exhausted.

A talking cat movie managed to portray fear and anxiety accurately in a way I never expected. That alone is reason enough to see this movie. Among other reasons, obviously.

After "Cat In The Hat", "Catwoman", "Cats" and the "Garfield" movies, it's very easy for me to say this is the best cat movie of all time. CATS DESERVES THIS!

It is nice that dreamworks can still deliver worthwhile materiel for its older franchises. The Shrek franchise has hope moving forward. Considering how much that Netflix show “spirit riding free” really deviated from the core themes from the original movie. I wasn’t entirely sure it was a good idea for them to even touch the older franchises anymore but this shows me that they can still deliver if they really want to.

Shocker...a movie that actually is trying to be fun, entertaining, and have quality storytelling in 2022. Props to Dreamworks.

Talking about how good that villain was, I saw the movie tonight in theaters and at the end of the movie when the entire cast is on the star and suddenly you hear him whistling,

Half my theater screamed.

I honestly think Puss in Boots is an extremely underrated character. Even in the first movie he showed real depth and I always thought he was an extremely compelling hero. Im glad that he’s getting a fantastic movie. I am a huge fan of Puss.

The biggest surprise for me was how wholesome Goldie's arc was. Also, the dialog in this film is next level. You don't typically expect it from animated movies. Puss and Wolf's exchange at the end was brilliant!

My wife and I were already planning to see this after the holidays (She's been an Antonio Banderas fan for years, ever since The Mask of Zorro and Once Upon A Time In Mexico), but now I'm super excited to see his performance. The whole movie sounds like a fantastic surprise.

Went to go see it with my family tonight. My mother's exact words: "I just wanted to go see a cute silly movie with you guys, I can't believe it was that good."
Movie is in my opinion a masterpiece. You can tell a ton of love and passion went into it. The story, characters, voice acting, sound design, music, fight choreography, art style, pacing, everything... Was perfect. 9/9, one of DreamWorks best films by far, and probably one of the best animated movies ever made. Please, if you haven't seen it yet, go. You will not be disappointed. Please support this artistic marvel in theaters.

I was dreading the return of “Oooh Cat” from the first movie, but it was just a cameo and I was able to appreciate it 😅
