Scavenger birds are often left with the most unsavory parts of the carcass... but their stomachs are made to deal with these leftovers!

Fun Fact: Human stomach acid can also corrode steel, but vulture acid is much more efficient at it.

Vultures poop sometimes burns holes through roofs.

In middle school we went on a week long trip to a sleep away camp type thing. Me and 3 of my friends got accused of something we didn't do ( its a longg story) but of course they didn't believe us so we got ISS. As a punishment we had to carry a vulture in a dog crate about a half mile up hill to its enclosure then we had to clean up the uneaten road kill. Of course none of my friends were down but I was so quick to get in there. I was less than three feet away from 3 or 4 vultures, the patterns on their wings were soo pretty. It was more of a treat for me than a punishment, no one else there got to have that experience. Carrying that sucker up that hill wasn't fun though, he was heavy.

I love vultures... do the pins ship world wide? Also how does the pin stick to cloths if it does at all?

I suppose their stomach’s protective layer also has to be stronger?

The pins are $13 individually and $40 for all of them

Why do people call vultures the bad ones?

So if human gastric juice is 0, 5% hydrochloric acid, and these guys have 1000x that so they have a 500% concentrated hydrochloric in their stomachs even tho max chemical concentration of hydrochloric is a bit over 40%?(not to mention how ridiciolous >100% concentration of anything is) Yeah it makes sense alright
