Yeah supermarkets in Europe are just superior. I love going Poland for that reason. Even in UK, the Polish shops have their own butcher and some even have the bakery.

I grew up in Germany but ngl that is literally every middle European grocery store if you keep it that vague lol

But these bakeries belong to chains. They're kinda boring. They often don't make the dough by hand. Perhaps try the bread of one of the artisanal bakeries in Munich once for us ? Brantner bread for example. I'm curious !
