Counter-terror expert gives insight into Southport stabbings | LBC

Chris Phillips is the former Head of the National Counter Terrorism Security Office. He gives Shelagh Fogarty some insight into the breaking news coming out of Southport.

‘One child is dead’ and others have been injured after a mass stabbing at ‘Taylor Swift-themed’ summer holiday club. At least eight people have been stabbed, with dozens of police officers at the scene.

The victims have been taken to three hospitals, including Alder Hey Children's Hospital in Merseyside.

A man has been arrested and a knife has been seized.

Police, fire and ambulance crews rushed to Hart Street at around midday, and a major emergency services presence remains at the scene.
