Still a missed opportunity to include Megaman and Bass into Legacy Collection 2 for the Switch, in my honest opinion.

Then, they could've incorporated it into Legacy Collection 2 on other versions of the game as free DLC.

It's a shame that they don't use the Saturn version of Mega Man 8 in this collection, that was the objectively better version with extra bosses and a better stage theme for Tengu Man

4:30 Actually, Mega Man 8 has been playable on a handheld system before. It's on PSN and can be played on the PlayStation Portable or PlayStation Vita.

I was fully intent on buying this.... until I learned it was half physical, half digital. You just swindled your way out of getting my $50, Capcom.

Great review! So far I've only played the game in Switch's handheld mode and it felt pretty difficult for fast-paced / action combat, where I died more than I would normally. However, I was able to play it with just a single joy-con with the Switch with its kick-stand and this was much better. I'm sure the Pro Controller will be the best way to go with this one, as Mega Man games require a ton of precision in order to beat the toughest bosses and levels in the game.

One HUGE addition to the first Legacy Collection needs to be mentioned: CPU speed toggle. You can "turbo" the clock speed to prevent slowdown.

It changes the play quite a bit.

Just picked up my copy today and it’s really good! I’m happy to report that all of the games run smoothly. Not only that, but I got 11 digitally months ago so I can play every Classic game on one cartridge. All of these games are really good so far, I beat 1-5 and 11, and tried the rest, which are all great!

Even tho I don't own the switch, I still think they should have added more to these 2 collections, also for the other consoles sake. Without mega man and bass, it's half baked.

Thanks for this updated review - I'm probably picking up the collection today on Switch, as I've never played Mega Man 8, 9 or 10 before. It's disappointing that Capcom didn't go with Digital Eclipse for Legacy Collection 2, as I suspect that would have resulted in a more robust set of features thanks to Frank Cifaldi's involvement. Still, it's nice to finally have the games available on Switch as we wait for Mega Man 11!

Remember "Rockman Complete Works" for the ps1? It had megaman 1 to 6, with remastered music.
Remember "Megaman: The Wily Wars" for the Genesis? It had megaman 1 to 3 with 16 bit graphics instead of 8 bit...
I would love if someone hacked the Rockman Complete works ISO to add the Wily Wars 16 bit graphics in it so we can have both the remastered music and graphics at the same time!

Also, I really wish legacy collection had "megaman and bass", "megaman soccer", "megaman the power battle" and "megaman the power fighters"...
ANYWAY! Might get this collection in the distant future if it's ever on sale.

They could have added descriptions in the museum for LC2. For instance, you go see Spalsh Woman's page, you get a description of who she is and what she used to do before turning bad.

Considering Mega Man and Bass was referenced in Mega Man 9 through Rush's projection of Wily's past defeats, it really should've been part of either Legacy Collection 2 or the bundle
