Thanks for watching please subscribe and hit the bell! We get some decent numbers today, with more tuning to go! This bike is COMPLETELY different. Pulls the wheel up in first and second gear. We're anticipating in the 16-20 hp realm when done. This bike has SO much more usable power, prior it honestly lacked so much in first, there were small hills this thing struggled to climb. We're currently working on the new cam grind and an exhaust solution, follow us on the scooterswapshop app, so you're notified when the parts drop!

the intake track and the exhaust are your limits. aka carb intake port valve to the exhaust valve and out your exhaust pipe. it only flows so much. by adding capacity to the cylinder it only moves that power to a lower rpm because the larger bore draws in more air. you will lower your upper rpm as well . adding more available air to the intake and exhaust side will in turn allow the engine to produce more power the higher the rpm goes. i suggest porting the head and adding bigger valves. adding more duration to the cam can help as well because it allows the valves to stay open longer which allows more air to be drawn into the cylinder. you guys are on the right track. i cant wait for the next video!

Great video. It will be interesting to see what happens when you start changing lift and duration with trying various cams.

I like this bike because it's simple, very low on maintenance, can take a beating, is easy and fun to ride, and BECAUSE it's slow. It gets me to the trails 30 miles away at 50-55mph no problem, and gets me around with ease and comfort once I'm there. However I do think it's cool to see all these mods people are doing to tweak it to their liking and just show what's possible.

Thanks for your efforts and testing much appreciated.
All is looking good to squeeze more out of this value based bike . Making it best bang for the money .
With a cam and pipe and possible head work, these upgrades will be no doubt best improved bike this year . Love you guy's videos .

I have a question. Is the 2004 Honda XR125 engine significantly different from the XR150 engine, and will this kit fit the XR125?

Hope the brakes are still sufficient with nearly double the power.

Awesome! Been looking to get some more ponies out of my 150l without having to sell. Are there any downsides to doing the conversion? Not worried about warranty but more longevity

Can you give me cam specs on stock vs. your cam? I'm looking at just swapping my cam.

Thank you very much for the ideas and on point information! I’m putting 66mm on my 150L. All the way from the philippines

When will the big bore kit be available for the XR 150?

I'd like to see you test switching to Amsoil synthetic after an initial break in with conventional oil on some 2 strokes or 4. I just bought one of these XR150L's and plan to switch. I picked up some mph on several 2 stroke 50cc motors switching to Amsoil synthetic after initial breaking it in using conventional oil, experiencing a 2nd break in w/ Amsoil, and ultimately the resulting increase in speed. Motors sounded better and lasted longer as well. I hope the same happens with my XR150L. I have built a lot of 50 cc bike mopeds and doing the, what I call a "double break in" (DBI) just described, seemed to add 5-8 mph. Thing is going to synthetic on a 50cc with lots of miles did not get the same benefit. Wish I had this system to test exactly how it improved using the DBI.

Im curious how much you have to mill off below the wrist pin to prevent the lock at BDC.
