There are still people in church that trample on what ignatius stated.

St. Ignatius of Antioch, not just a Bishop, not Just someone who Knew the Apostles. He was held carried if you will by Christ himself hence the title St. Ignatius Theophorus. He was Patriarch of Antioch and a Disciple of the Apostle John and one of the three most influenced Apostolic Fathers along with Sts. Polycarp and Clement. His Church The One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church, the Eastern Orthodox Church has never turned its back on the Enduring Consensus Scripture defines as pleasing to the Holy Spirit or ever failed to comply with Biblical commands to be of one mind and Judgement amd to refrain from schism.

My grandson, who is now 5 years old is named after this great Saint who is St John the Evangelist's disciple. So all he had written are what he saw, what he heard, and what he witnessed. And what profound was when he wrote to his community not to stop him from the teeth of the lions in the Colloseum. He enjoyed his being eaten by those huge lions and died courageously for his Lord Jesus Christ and the glory of GOD.

There is no historical support that Ignatius was personally discipled by John or even met him. I accept his contribution to the Church but please don't make claims that are ahistorical.

No no no no the bread and wine do not become the literal body and blood of Jesus Christ...the Bible is clear.Jesus said when he made that comparison that his words were not physical but spiritual. It is a spiritual reference. Go to the Bible and read Jesus' words.

The hocus pocus you speak of is a false teaching and goes against all scripture. You are sacrificing again to yourselves Jesus Christ who could only be sacrificed once for the sins of all .

Ignatius, if he truly existed and was sincere, may only have had a part of that truth and perhaps he made up the rest or got that idea from paganism. Or perhaps he is a fraud. I've been studying about Ignatius and Eusebius and I'm thinking neither are to be trusted sources.
