Thank you, Amy, for another heaping dose of clarity and common sense!

The Alzheimer's Antidote is one of the most readable and informal books on healthy foods I've ever read.

Dr. Lustig's "real-foods" website defines real food as "Real foods are not mass produced, not consistent from one purchase to another purchase, separate out, and rot in a relatively short time. Most whole foods would meet this criteria; many processed foods would not."

He also mentions they don't have a nutrition label.

Reminds me of DaphneReloaded video on not agreeing with a balanced diet or against processing food

I like that, start with anything not in a packet.

I wish your books were available in Audible. I really enjoy being able to listen to books while doing other things like working, knitting or listening to a few minutes before falling asleep.

Finally. I've been reluctant to express similar thoughts and expose myself, but have lost 120 lbs. and thrive on processed products like whey powder, MCT oil and exogenous ketones. After 80 lbs, I added in a near-daily Quest bar or cookie and lost 40 more, just at a slower rate. When I took the carnivore challenge -- i.e. only "real food" -- I felt worse.

To stop my night time leg cramps I was turned on to Tonic Water with Quinine. Being type2 I choose to use Diet Tonic sweetened with sucralose. It’s the only “sweet” in my diet!

Spot on again, Amy. I picked up this lingo 3 years ago when starting keto and then started really thinking about what I was saying to people and decided this was not a great way to explain how I am eating now. People all perceive that differently, so I stopped using those lines.

As I liked this, I noticed you only have likes. I have noticed this before. And I'm only seconds in. You just make so much sense. :)

I make "Real Bread" every day, 99% of the time, I don't eat it. 🤗 So far, the smell of it baking is enough for me, to stop the craving. (Waits for the Keto Police to bash the door down.) Lol.
Exactly, how one defines Processed is personal. 😁 Bring on the Bacon 🥓 & eggs. 🍳 Ha.
Thank you for sharing this important information to stop the crazy. Take care & stay safe too everybody. 😷❤🙂🐶

If it needs an advertising campaign it's probably not a real food. Nature creates new products very seldom.

So in other words i have to try and live for 8 million years just to see if some foods have a shelf life that long.

Comment on your summary in regards to severely metabolically challenged people: Keto must be a huge leap for the largest percentage of them. Most of that metabolic damage is done from not understanding nutrition on a fundamental level, right? Taking strides into learning what "processed" or "whole" or "real" are excellent first steps. They were for me. Keto is much more effective if you understand the basics...my opinion.

I agree! Now to come up with a new sticky catch phrase to cover it all ;)

So right on, Amy! 🙌🏼 ( you could probably say meats are not eating an alive whole cow. Lol! )
