Back then, possessions were limited. More defense. It was a grind. Today, everyone launch 3 pointers 10 seconds into the shot clock. It’s easier to get rebounds and score. Games faster.

Prime Shaq would thrive in this era. It's less defensive oriented and the volume of his shots would go up because players shoot more nowadays than back then and he would learn to shoot better just like Blake Griffin and Brook Lopez did. And if they try to double or triple him, he would pop it out to an open shooter in a much faster pace. He'd also in better shape than he was in his prime.

In the future cherry pick era where each team sacrificed 1 defense by having 1 person at their opponent’s basket at all times, the cherry picker would be averaging 60 points per game. Would people use that stat to justify the player being better than Jordan Lebron and Kobe ?

Yea they had way less spacing back then, Shaq was getting tripled team every time. He also got fouled a lot, and he doesn’t bait fouls like Embiid does. He would fight through them & refs already called less back then. Good times
