My guitar's also a 2012 Les Paul Special. Run it through a Fender Vibro-Champ and it gives you a beautiful T-Bone Walker/Jump Blues style sound.

Where did you get the model with the tune-o-matic bridge?!?!?! That's a huge variation!

Just one thing though...you left out how gorgeous these sound clean through the neck pickup...you play it like you are using a Junior...use that neck pickup!

I had one...had to sell it in a fit of being broke...one the best guitars I've ever had...Thing was a real tone machine. Complimented my standard really well.

They're actually like $1300, in 2020. And they have a wraparound bridge and vintage tuners now.

No mention of the backed maple neck on the 12' model?

2012 is the only special with neck binding. I own 2, one P90 and one humbucker. Love the 2012 special.

im new to the guitar.i just got my first on 2 days ago but I've watched these videos for about 2 years. I think I'll use this channel because its literally the only one I understand. hopefully I can make good progress. the only thing it's that I've practice a bit and my fingers are hurting 😂😂

My 1st wife bought me a Les Paul special in 1998 ebony. I've kept it perfect.

2012 model has the blended in neck/body joint.... 2019 has that block of wood sticking out in the cutaway....

Epiphone makes one too. I have it, it sounds awesome and costs $100
I have been moding it for a year and it looks just like this new release, but totally by accident! Except for I have gnarly humbuckers that grind the neighbors really well! 😳😬😀👍🏼

What a perfect guitar need a p90 guitar again the Epiphone p90 I had was close sounding even though the pickups were cheaper

i have the cheap tokai version and this sounds better - for sure- but my tokai is no slouch though
