here is a brand new tip :D
*now let's imagine we're playing 1v1 skirmish on Canyon of the dead map.*
as we all know, evicting your infantry from helixes or chinooks leads them to land on ground - evac - then automatically ascends to usual formation.
how about we twist it a little?
here is the tip with an example:-
Scenario:- you're china inf and your helix is low on HP, packed with veteran rocket launchers trying to make a run for it from 2 USA laser avengers.
*position on map is bottom near the enemy's supply dock and the small village, this is where your helix headed to.*
now how can we avoid the death of this helix if it got lucky to survive?
we immediately evac the units behind civilian structure to garrison nearby buildings to protect the helix from laser firing, while ALSO selecting a far distance unit such as a minigunner or any unit a helix can carry.
this is where it gets interesting, the helix forces to stay on the ground till that unit you selected arrives which would take lots of time!!
meanwhile, your rocket launchers are prepared to rekt these Avengers.. since we're talking about Avengers, keep in mind they do attack only air units that are actually in-air!!
so basically they won't be damaging the helix because it cannot be targeted by the Avenger's lasers while its below the range!! (tested personally).

The support powers can be used from any CC.
Automatically they will come from the last one, but if you select the other one and then click on the support power they will originate from that one

Pretty insane. I never played any MP games because I'm not very good, but I played tons of challenges. That raptor veterancy trick and horde garrison is pretty mindblowing honestly.

Been a very long time since I've played generals, i used to be an addict back in its heyday... regarding tip 1 on how to one shot gla tunnels. The reason why your two raptors won't fully kill the tunnel is because the AI is designed to stop firing once a unit is killed. Once your raptors fire and kill the tunnel, it thinks the job is done and therefore do not expend the remaining ammo to fully kill the tunnel.
What the pros used to do back in the day to remedy this, instead of just clicking on attack, they would press ctrl+click on target; and what this would do is force the raptors to fire on the ground the tunnel sits on, instead of the unit itself. This will make it so that your raptors discharge all of their ammo, effectively killing the tunnel in one fell swoop. The only thing is, you had to reset your raptors after, because they will reload and continue shooting that spot, but that was no big issue because a good airforce general would constantly keep his raptors active.

Again, this is how we did it back in the day, i don't know if the mechanics have changed since, but if it still works then it would be a lot better than trying to circle around and risk getting your raptor shut down by a quad

Best advice I got when I started playing this was space out your buildings and use the bunkers as a line of defense since they have mines.

You can select all cc skills per cc. So click on the cc that you want to use and don’t use the right side but middle bottom controls. (Kaelego)

Quite sure the horde bonus alone (without nationalism) gives %50 attack speed (fire rate) right off the bat instead of %25. which is just nuts imo and never to be missed out in any garrison scenario. here are some numbers from my testing a little while ago:

- An unvetted tank hunter with no bonuses whatsoever shots 30 rockets in 30 seconds.
- An unvetted tank hunter with just horde bonus alone shots 45 rockets in 30 seconds. ( %50 attack speed increase)
- An unvetted tank hunter with horde bonus + nationalism shots 50 rockets in 30 seconds ( %66 attack speed increase total, so that means nationalism only gave an additonal %16 instead of %25 as the tooltip says, which means its one of the struggling upgrades of the game considering its cost.

Didn't test the patriotism cus inf has too much attack speed by default anyways, it doesn't matter.

i am honestly surprised people did not know about these features, the E W Q S X Keys etc. this is something i have done since the game came out. that said, these are not new features. they have had variants of them on older C&C titles. I think generals more or less perfected the hot key game play. then it seems to have gon backward from then on, with RA3 etc on wards
