Value Based Payments 101

1/10/2017 - Federal, state and private payers are rapidly shifting from fee-for-service models to value-based payment (VBP) models, which reward clinicians for the quality and efficiency of care. This shift is particularly challenging for behavioral health care organizations, which may not have the necessary infrastructure and capacity to engage consumers and families, use data to drive change and document value to payers, and optimize use of health information technology.
