Was originally wanting the Xs Max, but after the keynote, I’m now considering Xr instead. Don’t remember what $1100 US would be in Australia, but it would not be pretty. Plus, it doesn’t seem like I’d be missing out on much. Particularly since there IS portrait on Xr. Just no optical zoom or 3D Touch. Little concerned the screen resolution will feel like a step down from the 7 plus I currently have, but I’m sure it’s fine.

I think I’ll wait until the 2019 iPhone release. I have an iPhone 8 Plus and I’m happy with it. Question: What about wireless and fast charging. Any improvements on those?

Regarding the SIM set up. Is this similar to what we see on the iPads with WiFi+Celluar LTE, in that we are allowed to switch carriers from the device itself, without having to go through the hassle of dealing with a given carrier?

FaceID hardware is the same as last year, it unlocks faster thanks to the new processor, that’s it! Maybe next year we will get FaceID gen 2, with simplified and less elements, making the notch smaller.

Good video. Just wanted to say that I'm surprised how few people are talking about the thicker bezels on the XR. It is quite noticeable. Not necessarily a big deal for some people, but still a big difference between the phones.

Interesting to know if the battery capacity has been increased to get better life or whether it’s all down to cpu efficiency? As somebody else pointed out the portrait mode is available on all 3 via software only I guess on the XR? The primary camera advantage is presumably the 2 x optical zoom on the dual camera versions? The A12 Bionic sounds fierce and it will be interesting to see how it stacks up against next generation Android processors?
