Did Doug Pederson out-coach Bill Belichick on Sunday?

Saint Nick was fantastic. Everyone doubted him from the start but he came this playoffs and balled!

Super Bowl 52 is arguably the greatest football game ever played. I am not an Eagles fan, on the contrary. I am a Patriots fan! And have been since 1999. But I have seen every Super Bowl since Super Bowl 20, that the Patriots have been in. And even though we lost in both. The one in Super Bowl 52 is the greatest! It was a David and Goliath story. People like Steve Van Buren, Concrete Charlie Bednarik, and Norm van brocklin would be proud. Philadelphia is great again!

Nick foles called his own number on this and to have the Respect and backing of his coach this is how football should be played

"Nobody is talking about the illegal formation."

Says every other reply. Refs cleared him pre-snap, can't flag him once that happens.

I wonder what play Pederson was actually thinking of calling? We know now that Foles was the one who asked for the play and Pederson agreed. It was the aggressiveness of Foles and the trusting of his quarterback by Pederson. Team work!

Ironic how Alex Smith was stressing “being aggressive”.

Nick Foles is da man. The other team QB is just a barbie doll for Robert Kraft. 💃

Another crucial point is the the fact the Eagles did that trick play on FOURTH DOWN. Next possession series for the Patriots they tried a trick play going to Tom and Tom wasn't able to connect. It sends a message for the game, Eagles were able to get it on 4th down

Way outcoached. And by the way, Malcolm Butler, a group of guys down in Wisconsin would love to have you next season.

Coach called time out but Nick called for the "Philly Special" not the coach!!! Coach thought about it and agreed with Nick in split seconds.... End of story!!! Nick was the man!!!

Carter makes an excellent point: PETERSON used his roster. Which is to say, PETERSON knew which tool(s) from the toolbox to use for the very particular "broken thing".

And what WAS the broken thing??
I SHOULD HAVE SIX POINTS, but the Patriots defense is gumming up my want.
Like a transmission mechanic says, "I want this car to shift smooth, so I need this, this, and this tool to make it so."

Foles balled, Doug Petersen masterminded an incredible win, these Pats thought they were going on a vacation. Gotta turn up. Anybody thinks they are going to free Meek Mill now?

I always say this about teams playing the Pats with inconsistent QBs. You can't afford to settle for FGs. You won't stop the Pats enough to win with FGs. There's no point on taking them. Then there's the chance you miss which makes it even worse.

You will most likely lose if you can't get it in the endzone so either go for it and fail and lose, kick it and lose or go for it and get it and win.

I disagree with what he said about being aggressive for the whole game. Atlanta was too aggressive last year, you gotta find that middle ground between being aggressive and being conservative.
