It’s laughable how dumb EA thinks we are. They put this on rookie mode to showcase that the “new and improved” one timers work, meanwhile when the game is on all-star which is what online settings are, they will be back to robbing them every time like they are routine saves.

These clips, even with being on rookie difficulty, are still cherry picked by EA as to what they show, and all this is showing is how bad the AI is. Like how are they willingly showing a new feature of an AI setting up to 1Tee the puck from behind the net and think “yep that’s good”.

Let’s be real, the only noticeable change this game will have is the new vision control, and that alone isn’t enough to repair the damage that’s been done to this game and bring players back who have given up on the series.

This game needs to be deleted from existence and return a few years down the road actually built from the ground up

The clip of the Jets 3v2 with Kyle Connor is the most egregious to me. Shows how nothing has changed at all. Seeing Mark Schiefele going far post and right into the blue paint to block another goal as he is covering the open net. Not too mention likely interfering with the goalie. It happens every year and nothing. Run the goalie and nothing.

But again from a game that doesnt even have kickouts of faceoffs in the game... Its a joke year after year what the NHL allows EA to get away with

I think the thing SOME (not all) people have to realize is that this is still a earlier build... obviosly they can't/won't rebuild the system but they can still tweak some things. They see the same stuff we see, so (imo) I think it's only fair to say its horrible outright until we have the game in our hands. But once again this is another great video!

With the goalies in nhl. There is NO WAY that ea even talks to nhl goalies or goalie coaches. Like with the one tee from the point, no goalie ever and especially from the point is gonna be in their butterfly. (I’m a goalie so that’s why I can say this) also nhl goalies don’t give up these bad rebounds. If they wanna have a hyper realistic game than make the goalies realistic.

2:09 - i believe that could just be him calling for a pass, as players do raise their sticks to call for passes as well. would be nice to send it down low for a potential look at Kreider in front.

My first thought when they mentioned the AI being worked on from the ground up was that its going to take a few years for them to improve the AI lol most of the stuff you highlighted is in NHL 22, 23, 24 and now 25.

Perhaps they are playing on a lower difficulty aswell, which would lower the opponent AI skill.

Either way, this won't change my opinion as my expectations are already on the floor. They can't make AIs worse than they are currently.

Honestly the clip with the St.Louis blues And The Black Hawks is a perfect example of why to not buy this game. On defense every player is brain dead and they don't know how to get in position or to stay in position to pressure the you said the center should of been trying to disrupt the play LIKE REAL LIFE at least swing your stick back and forth like your trying to play defense lol like come on now this is why i knew off bat the A.I was gonna be a joke i honestly don't see any improvement's in the A.I AT ALL other then offensively and that's even questionable
