Job listings are a hot mess. They mix requirements and benefits with statements like “we're looking for passionate astro-coder-nauts for a rocket ride to the future.” But if you know how to read between the lines, you can quickly sift out good opportunities from bad ones.

We've also got a special VR treat for you at the end!

I do appreciate the initiative, specially suggesting candidates ask question to a company's employees. Although I have to say, if the example job spec is real and was written by the company itself, I'd think twice before spending my time applying to the position. Companies that produce "junior engineering" specs that messy and ask for "middleweight/senior" skills tend to be terrible places. <correction> add "in my opinion" at end of last sentence.</correction>

Basic requirement: "Experience building and designing highly scalable services, and RESTful API's that power multiple consumers"... for a Junior? lol . That is more of a requirement for an architect. It's classic. Many companies seem to not know what they look for.
