Brings back a lot of memories of diving at Sipadan, before the island was closed down end of 2004. Been there numerous times between 1998 and 2004, always staying at the original Borneo Divers resort, the first on Sipadan and the best. Quite sad to see though that there is so much dead coral nowadays, despite the efforts to preserve. But understand your excitement, it’s an awesome place in the waters around the little island.

I came acrossed your videos. I live in Canada now but back then I used to dive in Redang Island and I had dove in Sipadan 30 years ago. It was a huge “Wow” back then but now I see lots of dead corals on sea beds!….

I remember the colourful fishes, Barracudas, Turtle and sharks! It was very colourful and I love the night dive in Mabul too

Great Video man!! Big into scuba diving here. Hopefully make it to that area in the world next year. Been Island hopping in the Caribbean! Should definitely give it a try and go to Bonaire and Roatan!

Nice video - brings back memories. I was just there a few weeks ago over Christmas. I did two days in Sipadan and I also had Eric as a guide on one of those days :) I'm beginning to think they release the baby turtles every month of something! They were releasing them when I was there too :) We only had 9 babies though. 79 is a good batch (per Rachel).
