This Chicken Scratch is on Jehovah's Witnesses, and their belief that Jesus returned in 1914 and began reigning as King. Is this true? They say their doctrine is biblical, but it might only take a few scriptures to disprove this idea.

If Jesus returned in 1914 then JW's shouldn't continue with their yearly memorial.

Thanks for this helpful video. I'm currently discussing this topic with a JW friend.

I remember a JW (who was supposedly part of the anointed class) told me to do research / homework on 1914. I did just that and left him speechless. Of course at the end he just referred me to the website lol

Absolutley amazing reasoning and so simple, God's Word is straightforward and simple, when an organisation and its so called spirit appointed men place themselves between an individual and our Creator and his Christ, then its time to sit in a dark room with a coffee and go back to basics

Well done, it still amazes me tho, how even after all the false predictions and they still follow them. 🤔

I'd argue that the 1914 date is false based solely on the fact that Jesus said no man can know the hour he will return (Mark 13:32-37), thus completely demolishing the attempt to set a date completely.
Also, the Millerites were the first people to use the same system that Russel used to come to 1914, only their date came to 1844.
From 1844 came the Seventh Day Adventists, who, like the JWs, reinterpreted the end time "prediction" to save face, rather than admit they were wrong.

The last part of the video is the best. You do need to humble yourself, and to be baptized, for that now saves you.

I wish my JW friend could watch this video. Sadly the doctrine is just too strong over her. Prayer is my only hope now.

Do the JW still teach that the generation born in 1914 can't completely die out until Jesus appears to start his 1000 year reign on earth? If they do, the clock is running out. How many people are 110 years old?

In addition to 1914 being a false prophecy, in a long list of such, the idea of “invisible presence” is also a date that moved around. Nelson Barbour and russel has it at various points in the 1800s before watchtower decided to move it to 1914 as a consolation prize for the world not ending

Do a video about the 144000 and the other sheep and how they reject partaking. Are they right or wrong?

Excellent explanation, 1914 is some moldy food formula , not from Christ

The prophecy of Jesus said that this generation would NOT perish until All the thing Jesus was prophesying about happened. So my question would be, "how long is a generation. To me that would mean how long CAN that generation last. Now let us go back before the flood and read in Genesis 6:3: After that Jehovah said: "My spirit shall not act toward man indefinitely in that he is also flesh. Accordingly his (Mans) days shall amount to a hundred and twenty years."
Now if the generation that Jesus was speaking of started in 1914 then add 120 years you get 2034. Now we have to believe that Jehovah CAN keep one person (or more) from that generation alive for the 120 years. Moses was allowed to live 120 years, and his brother Aaron lived to be 123. Just a couple of months ago (present time), a woman died that was 119. Now do some
The great day of Jehovah is 1:14)

Got 11 them.
