I use my goodreads to track all the quotes I like in the books I read (I pass a lot of my books on so don't want to annotate) and I just take quick photos of quotes I like - maybe that would work for you if you have your phone with you? If you make sure the page number is in the photo you can come back later and annotate properly!

I have the same problem with archer and olive journals! My handwriting looks so sloppy in them. Not sure if it’s the pens I use or?? And I have like zero artistic talent so maybe I’ll try the moleskin
