I Need You, Cheetara

Lion-o singing privately about Cheetara. Wishful thinking but beside a romantic interest, Lion-o does need her to help rebuild Thundera, destroy evil, and restore peace between the animals. I wish they could put aside their differences and realize that one cannot live without the other.

I theorize that in season 2 Liono would've given up on love but love would not give up on him.
He would inadvertently get himself mixed up in a love triangle between a Female Lion who assumed leadership after the cats were sent to the temple of Omens and started rebuilding their society, and (wait for it) a female Lizard who leads a group of Rebel Lizards against Sly after he sided with Mumra.
Liara (The Lioness) would share most of Liono's interests in technology and help him create shields for his soldiers and a cloaking device for their new home. But she would not share his views on animal equality; especially since it was the lizards that helped Mum-Ra take over Thundera.
Scay'la (the female lizard) would become inspired by Liono since those two Lizards he freed in episode one were her bros and start a rebellion after Sly declared war. She would share his views on animal equality but not his views on technology since technology is what has been giving their enemies power to take over all their land.

Too bad it didn't actually end up that way. It was natural to remain in agreement with what had been established in the comics and popular thought.
